THE CLASH - OUT OF CONTROL, 1984

Original promotional flyer, 6"x8".

After the break up with Mick Jones in September 1983, Strummer and Simonon regrouped with new band members on an extended self-financed tour. That the experiment ended a year later with the Bernie Rhodes-engineered debacle of the Cut The Crap album tends to obscure how revitalised Strummer was in this period. Greil Marcus: "I'd never seen Strummer more exhilarated, or more convincing".

ADAM ANT - VIVE LE ROCK 1985.

Original promo poster, 40"x60"
Art by Craig.

Adam's third album after the whirlwind rise and split of Adam and the Ants was hindered by record company under-promotion and a long delayed release which negated the chart success of the single 'Apollo 9'.
